About project:

The travelling duet constantly moves. Even in constricted spaces. Based on a very sensitive and intuitive movement the two bodies are interlacing, listening and communicating with each other. Dancers take inspiration from emotional memories of relationships. Through their literal journey they touch and experience the beauty as well as the pain of shared moments with someone and try to find balance between them in difficult settings. In this one trajectory there is a storage of memories, nostalgia, melancholy, pleasure, lightness… 

O projektu:

Potujoči duet konstantno potuje. Tudi kadar mu je potovanje omejeno. Dve telesi se prepletata, poslušata in komunicirata preko senzibilnega in intuitivnega gibanja. Plesalca črpata gibalni material iz čustvenih spominov, vezanih na odnose. Skozi njuno dobesedno potovanje se dotakneta in izkusita tako lepoto kakor tudi bolečino deljenih momentov z nekom, ter poskušata najti ravnovesje med njima v težkih okoliščinah. V tem enem popotovanju so shranjeni spomini, nostalgija, melanholija, užitek, lahkotnost…

About author:

Alja Lacković (1995), BA in French Language and Comparative Literature, is a freelance dancer. She is active in the field of contemporary dance and performance. Besides creating, teaching and performing, she works as well as an assistant and Board member in Dance Theatre Ljubljana where she is in charge for organising, planning and envisioning the program. Together with co-authors Petra Peček and Manca Trampuš, Alja Lacković experienced her first breakthrough on the Slovenian contemporary scene with her debut work Clearance. The project was produced by Dance Theatre Ljubljana, underwent 10 reprises and received excellent responses from critics. Before that Lacković educated herself in Bologna at platform Art Factory International and got herself first employment in Teatro Comunale di Bologna in an opera production Tristan und Isolde. During the epidemic time Alja collaborated closely with Italian choreographer Gioia Maria Morisco in solo adaptation of Viva la Mamma! that was performed in Scena Natura festival. After returning to Slovenia she co-founded Association for Art and Culture 47 where she organizes various events and workshops for the local community. Lacković is an active representative in two European projects (Rail2Dance, Performing Gender), she currently teaches and focuses on developing her own methodology. Lacković is focusing in forming a new creation with a newly established collective YEBBA (Trampuš, Peček, Lacković). She has been selected for International Choreographers Retreat in Canada (Montréal Danse, c.a.t.a.m.o.n. dance group). Her field of interest lays in combining movement with sound, working with disabled bodies and kind approaches to the body.

O avtorici:

(1995), dipl. Francistka in Komparativistka, je samozaposlena plesalka. Deluje na področju sodobnega plesa in performansa. Poleg ustvarjanja, nastopanja in poučevanja, je tudi asistentka in članica odbora v Plesnem Teatru Ljubljana, kjer se podrobneje ukvarja z delovanjem teatra in nastanki predstav. Avtorica Alja Lacković je skupaj v soavtorstvu z Manco Trampuš in Petro Peček doživela svoj prvi vidnejši preboj na slovenski sodobnoplesni sceni leta 2022 s prvencem Vse mora ven. Predstava je doživela skupaj 10 uprizoritev v Plesnem Teatru Ljubljana, na Platformi sodobnega plesa v Mariboru in na festivalu O'BRK #2 na Vrhniki in požela pozitiven odziv med kritiki. Pred tem se je izobraževala v Bologni na platformi Art Factory International in kasneje dobila svojo prvo zaposlitev v Teatro Comunale di Bologna v operi Tristan und Isolde. V času epidemije je tesneje sodelovala z italijansko koreografinjo Gioio Mario Morisco in plesala v solo adaptaciji predstave Viva la Mamma!. Po vrnitvi v Slovenijo je skupaj z Jernejom Bizjakom na Vrhniki ustanovila društvo DUK47, v okviru katerega organizira delavnice za lokalno skupnost in kulturne dogodke v sodelovanju z lokalnimi umetniki. Lacković je slovenska predstavnica v 2 Evropskih projektih (Rail2Dance, Performing Gender), poleg tega poučuje ples in poglablja svojo metodo učenja. Alja Lacković je v letu 2024 izbranka za International Choreographer's Retreat v Kanadi.
