About project:
As if we've learned nothing from history, we're rushing into this crazy world.
Art has a unique healing power. Why else would we engage in a field that is so unprofitable, if not to process collective traumas? The YEBBA collective’s field of research lies between sound and movement hence finding out how these two entities can merge and intertwine. The performance LP follows the form of a music album, which is created and performed live through dance and music. LP illuminates the problems we face as a society and asks the question of how we can solve and/or process them.
O projektu:
Excerpt from reviews:
“Dancers Peček and Lacković are joined by musician Trampuš, and the stage result of their work reflects both musical and dance backgrounds, which are performatively adapted to both genres. Trampuš not only plays music, Peček and Lacković not only dance; they all try their hand at everything (and more) and do so with complete confidence.”Metod Zupan (Sigledal)
“YEBBA’s artistic form contains movement, words, and sound. Each element is equally powerful and complements the others. When a song about self-employment and taxes is performed, the choreography, lyrics, and music come together to create a cohesive interpretation of the scene. What is most important in LP is its humor. It gives the performance a lightness that makes it accessible and understandable to all. YEBBA’s egalitarian productions use straightforward artistic language and relatable themes. Their work avoids overly complex allusions and metaphors, ensuring no one feels alienated or confused. No one needs to be afraid of failing to interpret this piece of difficult dance theatre full of meanings hidden in gestures.”

Metod Zupan (Sigledal)
“YEBBA-ina umetniška forma vsebuje gibanje, besede in zvok. Vsak element je enako močan in dopolnjuje druge. Ko se izvaja pesem o samozaposlitvi in davkih, se koreografija, besedilo in glasba združijo, da ustvarijo kohezivno interpretacijo prizora. Kar je v LP najbolj pomembno, je humor. Ta daje predstavi lahkotnost, jo naredi dostopno in razumljivo vsem.
