O predstavah
About the performances
Jonathan Burrows first appeared in Slovenia in 2001 together with Jan Ritsema in the duet Weak Dance Strong Questions (2001). Since then, he has presented a number of his works with the composer Matteo Fargion since 2001, and a translation of his work A Choreographer’s Handbook was published by Maska and JSKD in 2010. The emblematic Both Sitting Duet (2002) is one of the most recognisable European choreographic works of the last two decades, characterised by a precise structure of movements and gestures as well as subtle humour. Burrows will also present his latest solo, Rewriting (2019), in which he subjects the exhausted field of contemporary choreography to consultations with his A Choreographer’s Handbook.
