O projektu:
Učenke 3. in 4. razreda Šole sodobnega plesa Ane Maletić v sklopu rednega predmeta Scenske prakse izvajajo predstavo BESI.
About project:
Students of the 3rd and 4th grades of the Ana Maletić School of Contemporary Dance, as part of their regular class Stage Practice, perform the production BESI.
The performance Besi was created in 2021 at the Divadlo Štúdio tanca theatre in Banská Bystrica (Slovakia), choreographed by Milan Tomášik.
A source of inspiration for the production’s artistic team is beauty. In the creative process the team focused on the historical development of the perception of beauty and the questions that arise from it: How do we understand beauty today? What is truly beautiful now? What value does beauty hold in a time of relativized values? Does the sense of beauty affect how society functions or interpersonal relationships?
From these and similar questions, and especially from the search for their answers, a thematic mosaic is formed that constitutes the core of the performance. It is a piece about beauty, but also about ugliness, about the demons within us capable of destroying beauty. One of the inspirations for the artistic team was the French medieval poetry collection Roman de la Rose, rich in metaphors and allegorical images, which served as an impetus for the choreography and the visual concept of the production.

Shifting roots of the roles
The dance duet Shifts questions what closeness, contact, relationship means – when does the touch slip into tension and when does an embrace suffocate instead of comforting. Two dancers, two bodies, meeting on the thin line between love and resistance, between extended hands and emptiness, between what remains and what eludes. The sound of electronic music, physical contact and fluid movement guide them through constant transformations – a gesture becomes a question, a touch changes space, a relationship is reoriented with movement. Choreographers and performers Brina Dokl and Roula Samiotaki play with the possibilities of the common through exchange of power and tenderness, perception and impulse. Their work is based on the practice of connectedness, where movement is never taken for granted – it is a response, a listening, a commitment to stay in motion. Always in between. Always between two. Never just one.
O projektu:
Premikajoče se korenine vlog.
Plesni duet Shifts preizprašuje, kaj pomenijo bližina, stik, odnos – kdaj dotik zdrsne v napetost in kdaj objem zaduši, namesto tolaži. Zvok elektronske glasbe, fizični kontakt in fluidno gibanje ju vodijo skozi nenehne transformacije – gesta postane vprašanje, dotik spremeni prostor, odnos se z gibanjem preusmeri. Koreografinji in izvajalki Brina Dokl in Roula Samiotaki se skozi izmenjavo moči in nežnosti, zaznave in impulza igrata z možnostmi skupnega. Vedno vmes. Vedno med dvema. Nikoli le ena.

About the project:
Bor Prokofjev’s debut Equilibrium is a transformative performance where dance becomes a vessel for personal metamorphosis, in which the public witnesses a profound evolution of self-expression and identity, through constant movement.. Physical limitations and repeated external factors affect a person not only on a physical level, but also mentally, which can cause a state of instability that the dancer struggles with in his solo. It is precisely this loss of balance that leads him into unknown situations.
Equilibrium means balance. Through constant movement of the physical and mental body, the dancer travels the path out of balance with the intention of discovering something new within himself and placing that in his equilibrium.
O projektu:
